Dunki OTT Release: At midnight on February 15, Netflix India made a shocking announcement announcing that Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki was now available for streaming on their over-the-top service. On December 21, 2023, the Bollywood film, which was helmed by renowned director Rajkumar Hirani, was released.
The first collaboration between SRK and Hirani, Dunki, is the third movie that Shah Rukh will release in 2023. Before this, he produced Jawan and Pathaan, which brought in over ₹1,000 crore globally between them. Although there were hopes that Dunki would do as well as or even better at the box office, the film did not come close to matching the two previous films in SRK’s career.
Prior to this, Shah Rukh Khan claimed to have completed three films for “Tan Man Dhan (Body Mind Soul)” in 2023. He had to put in a lot of physical exertion in Pathan, his mind was stimulated by Jawan invoked, and his spirit was satisfied by Dunki.

However, in terms of box office performance, the film was a triumph. It brought in ₹272 crore gross in India and a noteworthy ₹182 crore abroad. The movie took in ₹454 crore at the box office worldwide.
In 2023, Dunki became the first film to enter the Bollywood top-grossers club. It rose to become the year’s sixth-biggest film. It achieved a higher total than OMG 2 (₹221.75 crore), Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (₹355.61 crore), Tu Jhooti Main Makkaar (₹223 crore), The Kerala Story (₹302 crore), and Adipurush (₹350 crore).
Tiger 3 vs. Dunki
It was unable to overtake Tiger 3 (₹464 crore), which was joined in the Top-5 club by Jawan, Pathaan, Animal, and Gadar 2. But according to Red Chillies Entertainment, the film brought in more than ₹470 crore.
